Startup10 Call for Applications

Funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and led by CIHEAM Bari, Startup10 is a program designed to empower young entrepreneurs and accelerate the development of innovative solutions in the green and blue economy sectors, emphasizing digitalization. By partnering with incubators in ten countries across the Mediterranean and Africa, Startup10 aims to promote food security and boost youth employment.

Benefits of Participating:

• Free 6-month Coaching Program: Shortlisted startups will participate in an intensive coaching program delivered by innovation experts from the program’s incubator partners. This program will provide you with valuable skills and knowledge to develop your business strategy, improve your marketing and team building skills, and prepare you for investment opportunities.
• Chance to Win a €5,000 Prize: The top startup from each participating incubator will be awarded a €5,000 prize to invest in support tools, training, coaching, equipment, or other resources needed to further develop their project.
• Participation in Open Innovation Program: Winning startups will also have the opportunity to participate in a 3-month Open Innovation Program with an Italian company. This program will enable you to build valuable connections, gain access to expertise, and explore potential partnerships within the Italian market.

Who Can Apply?

Startup10 welcomes startups working on solutions in sustainable agriculture, smart farming, eco-friendly crop protection, biotechnologies, efficient livestock management, innovative food production, and more. This includes areas like waste management, renewable energy, sustainable transport, and green building practices. Basically, if your startup tackles environmental challenges in the green and blue economy, you’re eligible to apply!

Requirements:

• Your company must be formally registered in your country for at least one year before the application deadline.
• You must demonstrate a strong commitment to your project and its potential impact on the green or blue economy.

How to Apply:

• Find Your Country’s Incubator: Each participating country has a designated incubator partnering with Startup10.

Algeria: Leancubator
Egypt: TIEC Incubator, ATHAR, Nilepreneurs, Nile university
Jordan: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of the University of Jordan, HASSAD Agrifoodtech Accelerator
Lebanon: Asher Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (USEK), Berytech, MILES Momentum Incubator for Lebanese Startups
Tunisia: APIA – FoodTech ESIAT, APIA – PEA KEF, APIA – Agricréation

• Apply Online: Once you understand the specific requirements, locate the online application form on your country’s incubator website and submit your application before the deadline of April 30th, 2024.
